WesPak specializes in packing and shipping premium fruit for export destinations around the world. Varieties are selected based on each export customer’s specifications for color, sugar level, fruit pressure and size, and we encourage our customers to inspect and request all fruit prior to loading.

WesPak meets or exceeds Codex standards. We also provide phytosanitary certificates that include federal and/or state inspections, field trapping, packing house cutting records and fumigation as required by select markets.

WesPak is HCCAPP approved, using the USDA as a third-party audit. All of our fruit is stacked on wood pallets that meet international requirements for country of origin heat-treated wood.

We also ensure that all country of destination requirements are fulfilled by promptly faxing and mailing all documents to each customer at the time of shipment. These documents include: original phytosanitary certificates, federal and state documents, USDA documents (as requested), bills of lading (including itemized manifest of carton count by size for each commodity and variety, as requested) load maps, pulp temperatures at time of loading and digital photos of loading.

Exports: Handling & Loading

Each ocean container is guaranteed to be loaded at the correct pulp temperature, and stowed properly – using air bags and wrapping materials – to ensure proper air flow. We are committed to working closely with exporters, inspectors and truckers to achieve the fastest loading time possible, while ensuring proper cooling, weight balance and secure stowage. Truckers with containers are encouraged to improve loading times by providing an empty weight prior to loading, ensuring the maximum load count as well as proper stowage and weight requirements.

All air shipments are selected and built to customer specifications, with all requested inspections and phytosanitary certificates completed prior to departure. We then ensure that all original documents accompany the fruit in transit.
